At Northern Neck Dog Training, we'll listen to your concerns and focus on getting the change that you want in your dog's behavior from the very first lesson. You'll learn how to understand your dog and communicate clearly so they will understand how you want them to behave. You'll use GENTLE, non-force methods of training that speak directly to your dog as the unique individual that he is, rooted in the genetic and ancestral influences and experiences that drive his behavior. We will help you change your dog's behavior to achieve a new level of cooperation that you may not have dreamed was possible.

Our training studio is conveniently located in downtown Heathsville where we have a roomy, safe, indoor, climate-controlled environment with plenty of open space with low impact, non-slip footing to train and practice all your new skills. We have good interior and exterior lighting, close parking, a handicapped entrance and bathroom and a retail area. You and your dog will have access to everything you need to train at your fingertips, including equipment such as mats, platforms, props, toys, leads, collars, harnesses, enrichment items, practice rings, audio-visual equipment, videos and canine conditioning equipment. And all of our Programs always include all of the training equipment you will need so you don't have to worry about going out and finding the right things.

In addition to In-Person training, we also offer virtual lessons where you can learn wherever you are, from the comfort of your own living room. No travel hassles, no worry about weather, no car-sick dogs, no night driving, no wrestling your dog in and out of the car. Just learning at a time and place that suits YOU and sets your dog up for success.
